When I was trying to get my License in Los Angeles, the MSF only had weekend classes and I had to work. Weekday classes were like once a month and if I remember right like 70 miles away from me. So yeah, it's not always possible to take the class.
But I wish I could have, and it's certainly good advice to learn about something before doing it
