I just replaced my Wahl that I have had for a really long time - at least 8 years. It only needed charging every few months. I used it about once a week. I might have replaced the battery once before.

I bought another one and it does seem to be made cheaper. Uses AA batteries instead of a charger. Cuts okay, but I don't expect it to last as long.

I had a Norelco once but I don't think it was any better.
