I like the looks too, it has the classic "rifle" look to it. I'm not big on the synthetic stocks either.
Well, we had to walk into the pit, Irene washed out a few culverts on the way in, and they haven't been repaired yet. So, no 1/4 moa hits, as I was just standing there shooting, with no rest.
That being said, I didn't touch the scope, these shots were taken at 45 yards.
I think I like this gun already.
The low one on the wood stake was on purpose, after shooting up the plate. I figured it would break it off, but not with FMJ loads.
I think with a bench rest this gun would have groups of 1" or so.
I'm really pleased, it racks rounds in the chamber nice, and shoots really well, right off the rack, I didn't touch anything. I guess whoever put that sticker on the scope knew what they were doing!
