This is the northern terminus of the Indian Stream Road...it peters out at a swamp. If you were to cross the swamp, go over the hill in the background, you'd be in Canada within 1/4 mile.
On the way back we stopped at Indian Stream Canyon...a short 1/2 mile hike down a trail to Indian Stream and a small gorge and waterfall...as usual, the pictures don't really show it well but it's kind of impressive and worth taking the hike.

I know it ain't the Grand Canyon but...this is a little stream, and it's probably a 75' deep gorge. Not one of the top ten NH tourist attractions, but since the Old Man of The Mountain fell down and couldn't get back up....we're still looking for a replacement.
I prefer this kind of attraction anyways...no crowds to elbow through.
I think Tyrebitr needs a new "stitch" the flash ain't flashing anymore.
