Another point I should make, concerning all aftermarket skidplates is the two rubber supporting points at the bottom of the OEM skidplate. These are very important, since they divide the distance between the supporting mounts in half. That makes the OEM bashplate to withstand 4 times biger force than it would without this support. So if aftermarket skidplates could get equipped with this support, that would be a huge improvement.
My BDCW Plate has lots of space for airflow where the VR is located and its still very protected. and It has a nice solid rubber block as an additional support on the plate.
