With WSBK increasing the weight requirement for the twins in 2012 you would think the 1199 would be the clear choice unless Checa is simply more comfortable on the old machine.

Remember that Bayliss raced the 999 in 2007 despite the release of the 1098 - I think it has to do with them prepping the homologated "R" version, so they are not really in a position to race the new bike yet.
