I just ordered up some er hf5's, from amazon, $95.00 delivered. for some reason the cobalt blue ones were cheaper.

I will be able to report on helmet fit (for me), probably not a ride report, well it is February in cheeseland. I had been using the er6i's for a few years, probably in a box somewhere,, so in a few years they may resurface,, like finding $20 in your winter coat from last spring.
OK, So first day with the hf5's. Four hours in the ear, no discomfort with stock triple flanges. I like em. they look long in the pictures, but they insert WAY into your ear. Smaller diameter than the er6i buds.

If I press my palm flat against my ear, I can just feel the ends of the buds

The sound is comparible to er6i's,, you need to get a good seal for bass. No extra boom boom added.

edit: Just switched from the stock triple flange to some extra ones enclosed,, look to be the same as er6i silicons. They work great,, sound is even better due to better seal.

Also, the wires look to be tougher than the er6i's. (not that I had any problem with the er6i wires)

They seem pretty accruate

Over all a worthy successor to er6i. (for me)
