More a case of growing up in the bush on a property,

the ol'man wouldn't let ya run into town everytime something broke,

we were taught to repair/rebuild or make our own gear, hence the ability to make shit!

'Necessity is the mother of invention' - is a phrase I grew up with, both from Dad & an uncle who was an engineer, both very good mentors, Dad's still rebuilding old motors for people @ the age of 85, going strong!
