I spent a few weeks in January camping out of the back of a VW Crafter van in Tasmania. If I had had a bike trailer on the back, it'd have been perfect. Vans are waaaay better offroad than you would think. The long wheelbase ones give you a lot of time to react when the back starts coming around.
