We seem to be in the same boat - I have owned my 1989 TA for a few years, have gained enormous amounts of knowledge from this thread, and have been riding through the Americas for just about 12 months, looking forward to the next 12.

I don't think you are crazy at all. In fact, I don't think you could've picked a better bike for your overland trip! And I'm sure that everyone paying attention to this thread will agree. It looks like you've put a lot of work into getting her ready to go. Good luck with the final steps before your departure! Hope to rendezvous in South America a few months from now...
