Any invasive species in the wild should be designated as fair game for hunting, free of charge (no license), with no limit and at any time of the year. That would go a long way towards curtailing them, reduce their population and help restore the local, natural eco-system. Feral hogs can be hunted without restriction in most counties of NC EXCEPT the mountain counties of Western NC. In those counties they are called wild boar and are considered a game animal with a hunting season. But they cause so much damage that the season is often ignored by local landowners.
