My wife likes to bake, but she was going through a mixer every few months. Picked up a Sunbeam Mixmaster at a thrift store, it's been going strong for 8 years, according to the serial number it was made in 1938. I do have to service it, lube it, repack the gear box, clean the brushes, ect every 6 months or so, and had to replace a broken beater.

A great example of long term maintainability over short term no maintenance reliability, kinda reminds me of a bike I like......
