I read somewhere in one of the other Stelvio threads that there is a design difference between the earlier and more recent models. Essentially, that the earlier models, with the smaller gas tanks and tires, were more street oriented.

Anything to this?

I like the Stelvio, and it's on my short list, but: a) I never ride dirt, b) I like bigger gas tanks and c) what's with the early model tires?
