It is actually an OGIO flight vest.. although I have a camelbak bladder in it because the stock ogio bladder sucks.
I like it because of all the pockets in the front.. lets me balance my carry load back to front (and easy camera access
)

The downside to it (especially with you being in texas) is the heat it can hold in (although the sides and the shoulder straps are mesh).
