My wife's R1200R was successfully ridden 8200 miles to the Dust to Dawson gathering where (5) total R1200Rs were present. 4 were ridden by fearless females. All had a great time and the 1200R's proved themselves quite capable of the Yukon and AK. And no we did not go of roading with it, but a few rocks did bounce off the GSA skidplate we'd attached prior to the trip. Only problem with it was it needs a serious fender extender to prevent mud form plugging the oil cooler. Someone needs to find a way to reposition the dang cooler! Seemed to me earlier 1100 and 1150 R's both had coolers up high along the sides of the gas tank!
