Went for a ride with eggy this morning and left him beside the road, Route 66 to be exact. He has spent a lot of time olong Route 66 this summer so now another visit. This time in Oklahoma, just east of Arcadia, home of the Round Barn and Pop's.
First we stopped to take a look at the Round Barn
Then on to Pop's about 1/2 mile down the road.
Inside cozying up to some of the pop bottles, there are thousands of these inside.
Then back east of Arcadia about 4.2 miles to eggy's camp site. He is camped out a few yards east of here.
On the north side of the road.
Eggy with all his stuff spread out in front of the fireplace
A lot of tourists stop here and nose around so eggy decided he would be safer a few yards east, just past the power pole. The fence you see is around the old building, it is open so people can check out the building and walk around it some. It is ok to be on either side of the fence here, just not a little farther into the field.
Back in the brush right in the center of this picture there is a fallen log, he is behind it.
GPS N35 39.617, W 97 16.411 will put you at the fence on that white spot.
Closer shot, you can just see the log in there, go to the big end of the log and look behind it.
Eggs is hiding under some sticks right against the back of the log
GPS N35 39.617, W 97 16.411 will put you at the fence right in front of eggy's log.
Should be fairly easy to find.
Then back to Pop's for a Buffalo Burger
Funny thing, if you go to street view in google maps there is an 18 wheeler parked in front of this place.
