Too bad it's on Android. I'd buy a google map app if Apple lets them sell it. I imagine Apple has something similar in the works.

Yep. That's pretty cool. I kinda figured Google would stick it to Apple in one way or another.

The new Apple maps are TomTom based. It would be really smart of them to do something with TomTom like they have with their "home" that is similar to mapsource/basecamp.
