Some details unknown to Devin...
The wait for the ambulance was made longer because I got sidetracked looking for help. The first guy I saw had a fried clam sweatshirt on so I asked him where he got it. A quart of clams later I remembered, "Oh shit! Gotta rescue Devin!"
The guy with the knife was about to do him in untill I mentioned Devin has a Harley back home.
Anton was anxious waiting for me down at the bottom of the hill. He called me on my cell and started asking me if we were in trouble with the law for where we were riding. I keep my phone volume up high and the Chief of Police standing right next to me could easily hear Anton on my phone!
When the game warden got done "interviewing" me, he asked where Anton was. I told him he went to the hospital to see about Devin. His response:
"Tell him NOT TO LEAVE TOWN until I speak with him!"
Yowsers! Are we not quite legal up here?
There was no mention of any violation by either LEO. In fact, after loading Devin's bike into the CO's truck, they each gave me a business card and told me to feel free to call them if we needed any further assistance!
