Sean McMillan, the Marine that died last weekend on the KTM, went into a decreasing radius corner (that has claimed many bikes) a little too hot, got on the brakes hard with a bit too much rear, which made him step out and hit the dirt berm and then the rail. He went over, broke some branches way up in the trees, then fell about 70ft. Some SMJ friends helped put him in the ambulance.
The usual Harley low-sides aren't from excessive speed, as they'll scrub at a walking pace, but the spectacular ones are usually speed related...
