These are the stock tires with a solid 50 PSI in each. I didn't really expect to be off the slab and onto anything worse than gravel. The bike performed very well.
you should run the pressure suggested by your bikes manufacturer. 50psi sounds extremely high, and has no benefit...unless you consider wearing out the center rib faster and having more potential for blow-outs or flats a benefit. if you are reading the max psi on the tire itself, thats max pressure for maximum load bearing...if you were two up and loaded down with a lot of gear.
