They took off from Montreal and flew to us in Bar River, Ontario with bare metal.. left painted for around the world.
Got to paint "Do Not Step" in yugoslavian, czechoslovakian, french, spanish, etc
p.s. the Grandparent (PBY) looks like the ones I remember from Newfoundland.
Actually, the PBY variant is known as a Canso water bomber here in Canada. That pic is of the Canso on static display right on the Trans-Canada Hwy in Gander, Nfld.
