You will need better tires than stock. I'd go with TKC's or D606 or what ever you can find, especially up front.
November can be changeable weather. Be prepared for Cold and Rain. But mostly ... November is ideal for the area. Have fun. There are two decent bike shops in Ridgecrest.
Hope you get a chance to explore the area ... it's great riding. Husky Monument, Cuddyback lake, Charlie Manson's house ... and lots lots more.
