Yeah the Buell is very quirky. Vibrates like a bastard until 2500 rpm then you are on a cloud (comparatively speaking of course). But for all that torque is does have quite a narrow power band. The old tube frame models (x1s) are the bargain of the decade right now. Never got to ride a 950/990. Was offered at an ADV event, but I was on my KLR at the time, and just knew I would be crying in my helmet all the way home if I did.
