Today I rode a little further into Guatemala.

Passed some cities like Xela.

Also got up in the fog. It is easy to forget how high you get even in Central America. Today I got almost as high as I did riding the Rockies in Colorado, 9,900 feet. In fact, I would estimate that 2/3rds of my total miles have been above 5,000 feet so far.

I also managed to take a wrong turn. Even with GPS he bad signing can get you.

Luckily it was a short, but pretty detour. When I hit this dirt road I knew something was off.

Gave me a nice view of the volcano too.
