The way I heard it, Ducati wanted Althea to pick up more of the tab for running the team (rumor was that the factory was paying 80% of the freight) and that Althea balked at that. It's starting to look like there will be a Ducati "Corse" team and Checa will ride, his contract being with Ducati. Rumor also has it that Davide Tardozzi will return to the fold as team manager.
