I have never worn out a cam chain on anything.
On older bikes, the tensioners could wear or break, but I never had a chain wear out.
Its in clean oil!
Never really wore out a primary chain either.
I had a 1986 883 sportster in 1986, and they do seem kind of rare these days, there were a lot of them around back then...
