I have a problem with my XR.
I am attempting to line up everything on TDC so that I can replace the timing chain, and the markings on the flywheel are nowhere near the inspection hole when on TDC. With the flywheel marks lined up in the inspection hole, the piston appears to be on BDC prior to the compression stroke. Needless to say, the markings on the cam sprocket are way out.
The engine was running before I removed it from the frame..
The marks are on the flywheel are: | | |F |T
got me stumped....any ideas???
