You'll never find a rep who'll send or sell you parts. It really is their only fix method, to do a refurb exchange for a fixed price. In my experience their exchange prices are quite fair, but you might feel differently.
As another inmate found recently, one broken part on a mount can be (and often is, in my experience) replaced with a whole new mount, but there are limits.
Just think, for the refurb price, you're getting an essentially new gps.
