The trick to ride'in black ice, is to head for the gravel. "Normally" you'd ride the car tracks, and avoid the gravely bits, but on the ice, that's where the traction iz.

Where I live they use red lava pumice so it's easy too see.

Funny thang 'bout this pic, iz all the fellers with ADV bikes stayed down on the road, and I dun rode the FJR up the hill fer a better view.
