Those servo brakes were great in terms of operation, but man, what a pain in the !@# to work on. The $2k replacement cost for the pump scared me, along with lack of nearby dealer support (both of our Kawi dealers are gone now, too). I saw a deal on an FJR and didn't hesitate. FJR felt like a bit of a step backwards in handling and braking (and weight), but a huge step up in power and wind protection. Harder to work on but needs less frequent work.

I too own an Airhead too. 77 R100/7 with 91K miles. Only 1K belongs to me. What a competent bike for a vintage! The 35 yo bike has a mid-range roll-on like a freight train!
