@Richbebe: Good to hear I'm not the only one! But it does make me wonder if there should be signs posted by car washes, just like "slippery bridge" signs, etc.

Lastly, I should have mentioned that this little incident also inspired me to ditch the lower fairings on my SV. Looks much better now anyway. I sold the damaged lowers and used the money for motosliders frame sliders.
