Yep! Slack tube is just a way to make the connection/adjustment of slack between the rostra servo cable and the intermediate cable. The enclosed tube simply keeps the "slack" from hanging up on other hardware under the tank. The reason you can't connect the rostra servo cable DIRECTLY to the BMW Bowden box cable wheel is you need more cable length than is what is protruding from the Rostra cable. I considered cutting away some of the Rostra sheathing but was afraid I might damage the rostra cable...so I opted for the slack tube. I'm sure a direct connection could be made and if so would likely be a "slick" improvement.
Denase - no I have never altered TB sync after this mod. Bikes seem to run fine afterward. However if it runs rough simply sync the TBs or have OEM service do it.
