I agree with your thought process, I have just developed the process that any device designed to work, whether electrical or mechanical, needs to actually be worked for a while after a length of inaction.

Then again, anymore when something is broken and it fixes itself most of the time I don't care what happened, I'm just glad it's working again. Obviously you can be more casual about some items than others,but you'll get there too eventually.....
