On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give Tania's a
3. It isn't easy to find really good Mexican food in Pennsylvania.
The Elkhorn Inn in "downtown" Bendersville is a cool place to stop for a bite when riding in the northern end of Michaux.
At Pine Grove Furnace, take Pine Grove Furnace Road from the ironmaster's mansion, pass the campground, cross Piney Mountain Ridge Road and Coon Road and continue to the dead-end at Bendersville-Wenksville Road where you take a left. Ride a couple miles into town. Food is basic home-cooking but varied. The interior will surprise you; the original structure is an old log building and the chinked walls are exposed inside.
Be aware that it is closed from 11AM-5PM on Saturdays. I should have photographed the hours that were on the door.
There is also an historical marker on the sidewalk out front. Here is
a link for an historical photo and the history.
