It depends, but it could be my old designed bike.

On 2004 R1200C, when I stop the engine, I stay on it for about 30-60 seconds and then put it on the side stand, to allow oil to drain below instead into the left cylinder. This consumes less oil. Now if I put it on the side stand immediately after turning ignition off, it can consume about a quart for 3,000 miles. Furthermore, it also becomes little harder to start due to accumulation of oil in the cylinder.
