For those of us that only own one bike it is not an option to "choose" what to ride on a trail. If you ride down instead of truck a small bike, you ride what you have and in many cases have your gear along, especially if you are just passing through.

The spirit of adventure is what this site is all about and who says that it isn't "fun" to ride a larger, heavier bike on trails. It is more work and more challenging I am sure, but still fun. If I had a choice I would love to ride a nice light bike on the trails, but not at the cost of having to travel by truck so that I can.
