I have a R1200GSA and an HP2 Sport, neither burns any measurable amount of oil. The HP2 was raced for half it's life (before I got it) and it shows no change in oil level in the 4-5000 kms that I put on it each year. The GSA is changed at 10,000 km intervals and it hasn't used oil since the first 8000. My K100RS goes 7500 kms between changes and the drop in oil level at the sight glass is also not measurable. Just don't park it on the side stand, especially after making a hard left turn. If you allow it to cool down a bit chances are you will see some serious blue smoke - along the lines of an old ringding two stroke from the 60's.
