I've got the 1550s. I'd prefer top loading but I'm too cheap to spend that much money. I bought both cases used off ebay. I also got the rack off ebay. I used hardware that matched the tapped holes in the givi rack and I added fender washers, gaskets, and nylon lock nuts. So far they've been great and totally waterproof. I might add the caribou case liners that make the cases much more functional.
