I know my methodology seems to baffle people...
Quite frankly, the front of the frame didn't need painting as this bike started life as an R100RT so the frame forward of the battery was in perfect condition, with all of the original decals intact. The only area that needed to be touched up was under the front master cylinder where brake fluid had leaked on the frame.

It's only the rear of the frame, from the battery back, that needed to be addressed due to many years of boiling over wet battery road tube spillage. Originally I was hopping to just do a quick spot paint job but as I got further into it I discovered there was a lot more battery acid damage than I had originally thought.
I plan to take the bike apart again (Phase-II) and really detail everything, but first I want to ride her a few hundred miles and see what mechanical issues need to be addressed.
