Fast forward to April and my bike has just had some new chain and sprockets, tires and a new MOT certificate.
The bike is a 2008 Suzuki Bandit 650. I added some rim tape and a radiator guard to the bike which I had picked up at the Scottish Bike Show in March.
At the end of April I decided to take a trip to Applecross. I'd heard so many nice things about the place so I thought it was woth a visit.
View from the A82.
A82 again at Glencoe. One of my favourite bends.
Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge
The wreaths were laid to commemorate 30 years since the Falklands War.
Eilean Donan Castle
Obligatory photo at the Applecross signpost.
I camped on Applecross Farm, £6 for the night, me and another cyclist had the field to ourselves.
Making some dinner.
Applecross petrol station. There's a sign asking visitors to fill up while in Applecross to support the running costs.
A fantastic way to finish the day.
The next day after a cold nights sleep I headed home pretty much following the same route. What a ride. I will be back in 2013.
