The end of April also brought an end to the two year restriction period on my license. My bike was booked in for some recall work so I took it to the dealer to have the restrictor removed.
£87.50 I was charged to have it fitted to the bike and about £30 to have it removed, someone's making a lot of money out of these

. Once the restrictor was removed it was amazing, it was like riding a completely different bike.
Fast forward to June and it was time to go see the Olympic Torch. I was going to be at work when I passed my house so I decided to head up to the Green Welly at Tyndrum. Me and another couple got talking to this bike cop he was part of the team escorting the Torch the 8000 miles around the UK and getting paid for it!
The Torch soon followed. It was being carried by John McNiven a former Bronze medallist in the 1974 and '77 Commonwealth Games. He still actively participates in the sport!!
