first thing ya do is when you get it new, treat it with Scotchguard, that way dirt won't stick as deeply
I wash mine in my jacquzzi, fill it up with lukewarm water, that the armor out of my gear, toss it all in , I put an oz of HE launtry detergent in and turn the jets on, let it run for a half hour or until the suds start overflowing on the floor

, then take the gear out and hang it in the shower where I rinse off withe hand held showerhead
my Kilmanjaro is 5 years old about 50,000 miles, still fairly clean, been washed twice
my Aerostitch, I never Scotchguarded first and it will never be this clean again
