Just did a test fit of my new compression ring in the cylinder. Measured end gap at 7 thousands, I was surprised it was so tight. Is this typical with new rings? Should I file to make end gap to around 15 thousandths. Anybody have any good links on how to file rings. My old measured at 30 thousandths, this was at 140hrs. Picture shows new oil ring compared to old.
