I too had MTS1100's, MTS12s' (currently own one), and a '09 Stelvio. They all offered upright seating, two shared air-cooled motors, but that is where the similarities ended for me. Fwiw, I'm a huge fan of the older gen MTS and like all three bikes very much. Great bikes all, just very different than one another in my eyes, really different.
