Thanks Dave. I currently have an 1150GS. It has plenty of power, but not so much wind protection. It is a fairly heavy bike and has a high saddle for me. I enjoy it a lot, but have gotten myself in situations when touring solo where I have told myself that I need a lighter bike and lower seat. I am one that appreciates innovation and an attempt to make a fuel efficient bike. My biggest criticism of the NC is it's looks. I am sure I will get over that-I initially had the same problem with the GS. I hope this year the manual ABS model is available in the USA. ABS is a must for me.
