A little clarity Dakez. For my next big DS I want somthing that is just as happy putting as it is hauling the mail. The XR-R and my KTM525 really only felt "right" when I was hauling the mail. When putting they felt like a caged animal. I'm going to pick up an XR-L and do to it what I did to my DR350 (it had 1988 RM250 forks sprung and valved for me and a custom shock, all by Cogent).
The XR-L will get KTM forks with radial brakes and a Penske triple clicker (I already have them), pumper carb, stainless header with a GSXR OEM titanium can (already have it) and remove any thing that doesn't make it go (weight). It should be a keeper.
I LOVED my DR off road, but it was gutless for supermoto.
