For all intents the '04 up to '11 DL 650's are about the same. The difference in alternator output isn't enough to make all that much difference. While the twin plug engine in the later models is slightly more fuel efficient ( my '04 gets good mileage anyway) the extra plug is a pain to change. ABS is the only thing that would matter to me and that is only available on later models. This '05 has a few nice accessories, but I too think if there are cosmetic issues I wouldn't pay big money for it. Low miles is actually more of a problem with this bike than a benefit. I would much rather have one with 15-20K that I know has been maintained well.
