Price for those retired 690 rr's just went up i think...
The parts for the 450 are being machined next week, and we hope to have the engine back together soon after... The plan is to bench test it to make sure the compression etc. is all good (we have computer modelled it, but there is nothing like a physical test to confirm), then we can set the final machining spec and get the piston/s and crank/s made to production quality.
I'm sure John will be along shortly to explain more about the hi-comp 690 piston (which will obviously have a different profile to the 450cc version), and what you might expect - again, the profile has been modeled on computer to give the required compression ratio, but we'd want to cut a prototype to make sure before the production batch goes ahead...
Numbers to follow, as soon as we have them! Hell, we might even make a video of the lump being tested on the dyno!
