Puke Pan de Azucar National Park

If you find yourself traveling in either direction on Ruta 5 and are around Chaņaral do not fail to treat yourself to Pan de Azucar. If you are traveling with your camping gear you can pitch your tent right there on the beach. There are several excellent little restaurants there where you can get an incredible fish dinner for about 3500 CP. The road between Pan de Azucar and Chaņaral has got to be one of the most breathtakingly beautiful and otherworldly coastlines in the Americas. It is if the moon had an ocean. The road in from the North on Route 5 is amazing as well. These roads are well graded ripio and should be no problem for ADV riders. This really is a "must see" and I will post some pix when I can get a connection that will let me upload to SmugMug and download to here. Just wanted to get the word out there for you who might be going through there in the next few days.
