Thanks again for the help in kicking, pushing, and pulling. Went through the bike last night, found two things.

Clutch pads spec'd out at a generous 1.0mm. Service interval is 2.5mm
Valves were a bit....tight. Should have remembered to check them after lapping the valves

Running out of systems to fix here
